The Games were held in the then named 'Ticketpro Dome' (Coca Cola Dome) South Africa's largest indoor arena. The Arena had been host to Musicians Diana Ross, Lionel Richie and Michael Bublé.

We travelled to Johannesburg with a very small GBMAT Squad. The costs involved were simply too much for many.
The GBMAT Athletes stood alone for much of the Games, the only GBMAT representative in their class, quite often out numbered by ten to one, by African Athletes.
